    Excellent stuff
Is the Sciarrino piece the one with the strings doing the "record static noise" while the piano played the quasi-romantic thing?
Loved it at the festival and he really does great endings

"Bates motel" is now as warm as a sauna ...

That's the chappie - I trust we'll be getting the dial tone piece in a later programme.

I hate it when they mess around with tradition!

Far and away the best item performed. Sciarrino certainly reaches back through time.

I agree - though the S4tet was remarkably good, too. He's a fantastic composer whose Music always enthralls me.

I was impressed by Anna Meredith's piece - other stuff by her that I've heard (she first appeared at HCMF about 15 years ago) has always struck me as a bit wet, but I enjoyed this work. And good, too, to hear the Hannah Hartman again - four very strong pieces in that Mimitabu gig - I hope we get to hear the other works in future broadcasts. Not so captivated by Maclay - but I loved his visual Artworks on display in the Queensgate market throughout the Festival.

            - this "bonus" was a very welcome reminder of a beautiful concert; moving and powerful. I hadn't fully appreciated the full nature of the community Music-making aspect of the project (the programme booklet - rightly, I think - concentrated on the Musical aspects) but the interviews with the choir members just added to my deep appreciation of the event. Many thanks and congratulations to all involved.

Aha! I should have checked the schedules - the remaining four works are to be broadcast on 8th Dec.
