    Saunders at 50

    Today is Rebecca Saunders' 50th birthday. Syd all on R3 today to celebrate the work of this astonishing composer - one of the finest (and not just "of our time") - so I thought I'd post this Forum tribute, and add this youTube video featuring the rather wonderful Manchester-based ensemble, Distractfold.

      No, sweetie darling - someone even more absolutely fabulous. (Not, so far as I know, that other fine composer James Saunders - whose 45th birthday falls/fell this year.)
