    Huddersfield 2017; H&N, Sat. 18/11/17; 10:00pm

zeitkratzer plays Kraftwerk - a Live broadcast of a concert from Bates Mill Blending Shed

Dillon: Tanz/haus: Triptych - a recording from the opening concert of this year's Festival, given tonight/last night (Friday 17th!) in St Paul's Hall.

I have my ticket for the Dillon event - and listeners at home will very probably have a more enjoyable experience of the zeitkratzer event than the poor souls shivering in Bates Motel. (Thankfully, not rain/hail is forecast, so at least they - and we - will be able to hear what's being performed.)

Like my own life over the next ten days, the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival is taking over the Hear & Now schedules over the next five weeks. I may be a little quieter than usual this coming week!

Sara Mohr-Pietsch and Robert Worby present live from the 2017 Huddersfield Festival.

Hmm. I was planning on catching it via the iPlayer 'listen again' option, but rather than the usual "This programme will be available shortly after broadcast" message, it shows "Sorry, this episode is not currently available on BBC iPlayer Radio". I will check again on the morrow.

The morrow has arrived, but still not (yet) H&N on the i-Player I have every confidence - both Robert Worby and Sara Mohr-Pietsche assured me* yesterday that it would be so available.

The photo of Dillon on the i-Player site is the old one taken a quarter-of-a-Century ago. Like the rest of us, he is unreckognizable today from such a source. Looking much healthier than the last time he was in Huddersfield, though.

(along with everyone else attending the talks they led, you understand: they didn't approach me individually with the news

Hoops on iPlayer fault reporting assault course now jumped through. If nothing sorted by this afternoon I will email Hear and Now, and maybe Robert W too.

There is the ... <ahem> ... chilling possibility, I suppose, that the i-Player team were actually at the late night concert in Bates' Motel last night; in which case, we;ll have to wait until Spring before the poor syds thaw out.

Surely it was warmer than the station last year?

Somehow, it is always colder in Bates' than it is outside.

The Town Hall on t'other hand is warm and welcoming.

I have just tried to listen again and still no programme available. Dillon told me that something libellous was said during the Bates Mill broadcast so the offending statement had to be removed but that the programme will be available to listen to today. I'm disappointed it has not been made available yet.

Thanks Orphical, having had no response from either the iPlayer or Hear and Now teams, I was about to email Robert to see if he could help, but will now hold off. Do feel free to share the libel via a PM.

The "editorial" version is now available on the iPlayer:

Sara Mohr-Pietsch and Robert Worby present live from the 2017 Huddersfield Festival.

Did anyone here happen to record the original at the time of broadcast?

...............Worth waiting for. This is contemporary music I feel completely at home with.

I guess that excising the whole interview was their clumsy way of resolving the issue you raise in #10. Surely someone recorded the original braodcast?
