That last improvisational piece with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra was sensational!

Keep your eye on Cafe OTO forthcoming events. Ilan had done gigs there with his Summer Strings in recent years. I know some leading exponents of free improvisation can be somewhat dismissive of his work in this field but I feel there is room for a range of approaches to improvisation and am happy to have heard him in this role both at Cafe OTO and Kings Place.
