      Which reminds me of Cage's recounting, in Silence, of presenting a recording of a Buddhist ceremony to a college class! As for me I'm afraid I never made it to the redemption beyond the boredom.

        I haven't listened to it yet. I've been very taken by other Eastman pieces I've heard though. For me his work is not so closely related to the better-known flavours of "minimalism", more to the kind of thing that for example Rzewski was doing in the same period, but more concerned with timbre and texture.
