Nature Study Notes (Resonance FM and Chisenhale Dance Space)

Today I hied me to the Resonance FM studios to participate in an edition of Carole Finer's Sound Out programme on Resonance FM dedicated to the promotion of forthcoming concert performance of several improvisation rites from the Scratch Orchestra's Nature Study Notes. The programme will be repeated next Monday Morning at 8:00 a.m. Those participating in the broadcast were fairly evenly split between superannuated original Scratch Orchestra members, and a younger generation of enthusiasts. The concert performance takes place on Saturday 28th June at the Chisenhale Dance Space . Note the limited capacity and need to book online.

Thanks for bringing Resonance FM to my attention. It's on the car radio in the London area, but it does mean I will have to reset home radios so that they can accept FM!

I don't think Resonance have yet posted the recording of last Friday's Sound Out on their Sound Cloud space. In the interim, I have posted the 128kbps mp3 on mine: https://soundcloud.com/nethersage/sound-out-140620-nss .

Very good. Was listening last night to a programme on the confluence of Arabic/ mid-east music and music of North-East Brazil. Culturally, at least 5000 miles away from each other, but guess it was worth a try.

I just wish the conversation of highly intelligent musicians were as interesting as the music itself.
