The restoration is complete, and the organ will be used for the first time in a service tomorrow (7 March 2021).

Thanks for that Pulcs. This Harrison & Harrison webpage works well but doesn't go into much detail...but there is a full specification:
This one, however: http://www.harrisonorgans.com/gallery/york-minster-2/
doesn't seem to work very well; and furthermore sends my PC into a bit of a panic. Can anyone get it to work properly?Last edited by ardcarp; 06-03-21, 19:07.

The Archbishop of York dedicates the restored great organ of York Minster at Evensong on Easter Day (at 30'02):
I couldn't say it better than one commentator, who enthuses on that YT page:
The organ is back! In the hands of 2 world class organists, Robert Sharpe & Ben Morris, both of whom are perfect gentlemen, the instrument sounds fantastic. The choir are awesome - world class. And as for Harrison & Harrison, they are the most highly skilled and talented organ builders you will find anywhere (in my opinion!) Head voicer Andrew Scott has skill and talent beyond belief. I can’t wait to visit the minster again when allowed and immerse myself in the glorious music on offer.

It sounds magnificent: so much brighter.
Very well deserved congregational applause at the end.
The order of service, which lists the music played and sung, can be found here (as given in the YouTube information if you click on the down arrow, bottom right):
