I heard Wolfgang Rübsam's Final to Widor 2 being enthused over ... I have seldom heard such a wayward performance (IMO!) - it was stop and start, slowdown/speed up ... no continuity at all. If that is a true example of the playing style for the whole set of Widor Symphonies he has embarked upon, count me out!

He was obviously stopping to turn the pages.
I must say I boggle at the choice of Reger's Ave Maria as an example of his organ works. It was horribly reminiscent of pre-funeral ramblings, and gave a poor impression of a great organ composer and of Steinmeyer as a respected builder of Romantic organs.
And how often did Ms Lapwood have to say she wished she was playing the pieces herself? The chat format really does grate.
