    Google celebrates JSB

The Google logo today is an animated cartoon figure in 18th century dress pounding away at a modern console; except that his feet seem to be working some sort of bellows. Oh well, they tried; and in a world where 'classical' music seems more and more neglected, it must be a Good Thing.
The pages magically turn themselves. I wish my Peters editions did that.

Apparently it's interactive and will 'bachify' your tune - so long as you don't want sharps or flats(so not very Bach as IS remarked a while ago)

Oh no, you can add sharps or flats - there are a couple of buttons lower right for doing this.

Our junior school had a harmonium which was powered by foot pedal-operated bellows, and by an organist who was pretty skinny, so any message or "meme" subliminally aimed at combatting the obesity problem, no matter by whom, must also surely be a Good Thing!

I just tried putting in the first line of the Chorale Wie Schoen Leuchtet...and I don't think the result would get you through your A-level. Mind you, there didn't seem to be any facility for starting on an upbeat. But no need to be sniffy. Great fun.
