    Leeds RC Cathedral organ

I've never heard this live; but it seems to be an example of a German builder (Klais) rebuilding and enlarging an English organ with a view to idiomatic choral and congregational accompaniment. Interesting that there is a Great and Swell devoted to the choir, and another Great and Swell for the nave.

Look forward to hearing it on Wednesday.

I played a fabulous Klais instrument years ago.... in Gottingen IIRC.

An interesting and unusual project to retain so much of an English Romantic Organ and to deck it out with modern German features, ardcarp. It will be fascinating to fead your feedback.

I played this organ a couple of years ago - very colourful and hangs together wonderfully. The voicing of the old pipes with the new is very well done, and of course, it sings out into a blooming acoustic from two very open sections in North and South triforia. The console is, at first utterly confusing (though beautifully crafted) - it took me quite a while to get my head around the various divisions and manual transfers!
