Members of this message-board may like to know that the new Dobson organ, dedicated to the memory of John Scott, can now be heard on the webcasts from St Thomas, 5th Av. It has been used to accompany the choir for a week now, and some glorious sounds have been issuing forth. Some of the tonal possibilities are being withheld until the dedication in early October, but, as a taster of things to come, it sounds mighty promising!

Daniel Hyde's opening recital on the Dobson organ is now available on a webcast, as is the dedication service and Ben Sheen's first recital. Wonderful performances all round and the organ sounding absolutely spectacular in a splendidly varied repertoire. Quite deservedly Lynn Dobson received a standing ovation from a packed church at the opening.
