    2016 is the centenary of the death of Max Reger, who contributed some of the most impressive and monumental works to the organ repertoire. Isabelle Demers, who took the organ world by storm at the Royal Festival Hall organ's gala concert in 2014, returns to champion Reger's music in a selection of works by this giant of the organ repertoire.

    Only caught the I, P & F, but it sounded magisterial on the rebuilt H & H. I could hardly believe I had tuned in to an evening organ recital on Radio 3. Ms Demers and the BBC sound engineers deserve our thanks.

      The organ sounded in fine fettle, and the acoustic was less 'drop dead on the floor' than I had expected...i.e. there seemed to be some helpful ambience .
      For my taste an entire programme of Reger was a bit like bingeing on chocolate cake, but as you suggest, great to have a R3 In Concert devoted to one of the major figures in organ composition.

      I wonder if 'transcribed' is quite the right word for Reger's re-working of Bach?
