    Wachet Auf! another chance....

What better way to kick off this new sub forum than with another take on Bach's Chorale Prelude on Wachet Auf which, as a nice surprise, opened CE from Westminster Abbey. For those who quailed at its registration from St John's last Sunday, it was heard today with a more traditional trumpet stop playing the chorale tune...also some interesting ornamentation in the RH.

And may I be second onto the new sub-forum, greeting all and sundry with the question "Where are ye all, ye virgins wise"

I wouldn't say I quailed at it on Sunday - I was just intrigued1 It worked better than a few years ago when the balance made it sound as though the chorale was being played in Trinity chapel!
