The closing of the latest CE thread took me by surprise!

I'm particularly concerned here, as it looks as if the accusation of running a double was aimed at me, mine having been the penultimate post.

I think we are all mature and clued up enough to know when a bit of partisan posting appears. It's rare that a CE doesn't get a post from someone involved and so I'm sure that we all read the post by "singer" for what it was, and smiled. That it may have been a double doesn't really matter, as far as I can see. It was hardly offensive.

So I look forward to the thread being reopened as soon as possible.

Well spotted! However, could you PM me, or either of the Hosts, or all three of us, about unannounced closures in future? I won't close a thread without saying I' ve done so and explaining why.

I'm afraid there is no way of adding a new post without it appearing after the one before. I doubt anyone thought my comment was aimed at you, but I'm happy to confirm it wasn't.

Great picture ff - but I don't know what you are implying there!!! I did once have a reputation for being a bit scruffy - probably still do, lol - but... how could you know that?

Last night it was freezing and today, despite the sun, has only reached 3.5 C. But you are right, I need to update my avatar for the spring. I'll have a look around... :cool2:
