    I, too, agree on descants. Regarding the TV 'Carols from King's', I've not spotted a repeat in recent years as I usually play the previous years broadcast close to Christmas Eve so think I would have noticed a repeat.

      That Cleobury descant for While Shepherds Watched - was it a new one? I don't recall having heard it before, but it excelled in its messiness, particularly in its constant attempt to destroy Winchester Old.

        I think they used it last year. Who could forget the awful chords stuck on at the end of the last verse? A bit like "Sweet Nellie Dean", if I might mention anything so vulgar here.
