    I agree - a lovely penitential piece. On the other hand, I don't care for Leighton's Second. Each to their own I guess!

        Well, Advent is a penitential season, and 'Lord, let me know mine end' points towards judgement, last days, heaven and hell etc, all themes which are reflected upon in Advent. I'll grant you there are more specifically Advent pieces I'd put above it, but not an inappropriate choice by any means.
