Over the last few months there have been both plaudits and criticisms of the sympathetic positioning of microphones for CE. I wonder if the engineers view this forum and what they think (or perhaps even whether they take note).
Whether as a result of previous comments or not, I have noticed that the number of CE web pages which carry a photo of the venue has increased lately. Thanks BBC.
As for the St David's singing I agree with ardcarp about the overall quality of the choir and their delivery of this repertoire. The sopranos had imo very good intonation and some some fine tone at the top of the register, while strangely showing some harshness in the middle of their range. The Britten took a long time to get to the point where it actually felt "festal" (more a criticism of Britten than the choir).
