Wakefield Cathedral team on Eggheads last night, 25th April

I usually watch this programme in the hope of learning something and guessing some answers too.

Last night a very sporty team from the above almost won - such a shame they didn't as they would have put the £17.000 to good use I'm sure. Two 'topbrass' among the contentants.

Including the Dean, who thought it more likely that the Mozambique Channel was in the Pacific Ocean than the Indian. He didn't get where he is today....

Got it in one, salymap - and John Barron played CJ - tall, bald, angular with a thin pencil moustache and a very superior attitude

...at Sunshine Desserts. With the flatulent chair for his employees. Simple pleasures!

...and don't forget the whoopy cushion (or however you spell it).

ardcarp: I always thought that the point was that there was no whoopie (sic?) cushion, but that all the chairs in CJ's office (apart from his own) simply had that unfortunate characteristic. But I may be wrong. All I really remember is that it was ridiculously funny to my teenage mind.

(Good to see that we've moved seamlessly from Wakefield Cathedral to Whoopie Cushions)

CJ s cross. He didn't get where he is today by telling the truth to customers when they make complaints... Classic British comedy from BBC Worldwide. This is ...

Anyway, back to #1 Wakefield Cathedral did very well until the last round. It seems to me a very unfair quizz - far more of the Wakefield team seemed to cope than the ever smug Eggheads, but they lost at the end as nearly everyone does.
