Following the recent changes to the Cathedral's choral foundation, the Cathedral has continued with it's vibrant and pioneering approach to its music programme with the Chapter announcing this morning an exciting new initiative for a replacement instrument while the Cathedral organ is being overhauled.

I like the idea of this:

Rather than replace the choristers completely, you could have a sort of antiphonal arrangement: half sung, half played.

Actually, I thought Mercia's Dmitriev version of the D minor was rather better than some I've heard in cathedrals recently.
