    Songs of Praise from Winchester

Good hearty congregational singing and a well-sung contribution from the choristers. Not everything sounded well-synchronised (especially the solo tenor's Panis Angelicus) but this was I'm sure due to acoustical problems. Were you there at any of the recordings Lizzie?

Oh ardcarp, I was indeed! Recorded two programmes back on Easter Monday - sang 6 hours solidly including 2 hours rehearsal (also an evening in the week), then 4 hours recording. Not sure I'd rush to do it again! Caught sight of myself - last hymn, first verse when it went to Mens' voices, spotted myself in background between shoulders of two older chaps - short fair hair! As you said, plenty of lusty singing to some good old hymns. Moment of fame over! Best. Liz

Indeed! Easter Monday while all the lighting, sound and camera rigging up from the live Easter Day Eucharist. It was a very tiring week but interesting to do - just the once! The first prog was aired in June and the second tonight. Had to dress accordingly of course. Poor Dean James rushed off having recorded his Blessing with one take, as his Brother died that night.
