    Pedantry alert:

Is it not 'The Leys School' - sans apostrophe?

Thank you, Wolsey - I sort of assumed everyone would know that.

          Mea maxima culpa, Draco.

Sadly it isn't in most, but thre are a few exception, especially whre the JCR bar is open in the evenings before Chapel...

..as they would also know that The Leys sits at the edge of Coe Fen, between Trumpington Rd and Fen Causeway...

                  Of course not!

Picked one out of a red pile of them that a local church was throwing out.

One if its best features is a 35 page 'Historical Survey' of 'Hymns and their Tunes' by Erik Routley; excellent reading during (invariably uninspiring - they should have been the opposite!) public school sermons.
Well thanks for drawing my attention to that, K. During all the yeras I worked with that book I never even noticed those pages! Mind you, I had to be on my toes during sermons. The Chaplain liked the blower turned off during his ramblings; but the said ramblings never reached a proper conclusion, not even a cadence in his voice. They would just flow into "Hymn number dah de dah" and if your attention had wandered there would be embarrassing coughs from down below as the old girl creaked and wheezed back to life.

Anyway I've just spent a pleasant afternoon reading Erik Routley, even more pleasant as I managed to miss Cameron Carpenter on the afternoon Prom.

I shall catch up on the broadcast tomorrow. At least no-one complained, for an RC broadcast, that spoons were thrown in the Lady Chapel!

Indeed a sad lack of spoons.

Indeed, what is an RC broadcast without spoons and bells? And Smellovision?
