May I draw attention to http://themusicparlour.blogspot.co.uk/ which is currently making available a recording of Evensong from Wakefield on the 50th Anniversary of the Accession of HMQ. It also has excerpts from the 1937 Coronation and the funeral of her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother.
I have no connection with the blogger, I am merely grateful for some of the items he makes available, all of which are supposedly out of copyright (and I confess I am not at all sure about the status of the recent recordings). If you appreciate his efforts a word of thanks would not be amiss.
There are many such blogs out there, but it is difficult to distinguish between those who are genuinly attempting to make available recordings now in the public domain, and those who are preventing artists and record companies from making a legitimate income.
