    Missing Music

No it was a live broadcast, but they do a complete dress rehearsal run through the night before to check camera positions and timings, and it was the result of that run through that the music was trimmed to fit in the broadcast slot available. Even so, it overran slightly but they kept it on air until the end.

One of the best tv over Christmas, the Midnight Mass. Pity the BBC was time conscious!

I am glad to hear that!

As for the rather decadent Plantagenet Royal offspring , I have never seen him before! Is he new? Or an extra? Or did he just mysteriously materialise on the night, to vanish back into history for ever thereafter?

I loved the burly scouser stifling a yawn and checking his watch as the Bish launched into another bout of pontification.

The guy checking his watch was classic! Thanks for the clip. How long before it's posted on YouTube! Jean, you must find out who that chorister is!

Ok, for the terminally curious, the lad is called Tom, he is a student and thus is a choral scholar.

Classic indeed Panjandrum - shame though, as the Archbishop's homilies are interesting and thought provoking.

Thanks. If you see him pass on my appreciation for bringing to mind that wonderful poem!
