    Dresden Kreuzchor

Lovely and interesting article; many thanks, David.

(Boys are admitted at age 9? So young they must be quite rosey Crucians?)

I think I am correct in saying that Peter Schreier and Theo Adam were once members of this famous choir.

My thanks too, David. Does anyone know whether other European countries (or non-European for that matter) apart from UK and Germany have choir schools in the same sort of numbers?

Notre Dame I think has such a choir:
"Le Chœur d’enfants comprend de 24 à 30 enfants âgés de 8 à 14 ans qui suivent chaque semaine 12 à 16 heures de cours dans le temps scolaire grâce au fonctionnement des classes avec aménagement horaire."

Sint Baavo RC in Haarlem, Netherlands, has some sort of choir school. I think they are affiliated to RSCM and/or Friends of Cathedral Music
