They've been doing pretty well with their broadcasts over the past few years IIRC. Not the most inspiring music, from the looks of it, but there we go. Clucas responses are always nice to hear and Praetorius is a standard favourite. Bonne chance!

Grave, solemn corrective to the wall-to-wall, frenetic and ersatz jollity elsewhere.

Brave, forthright Tavener start promised well. Men carried much of the service, and did more than ample justice to the Wills material. Unhurried, and calming.
The Praetoirus was just a little bit messy in places, but sung full-throatedly and with complete conviction.

This was a quiet, well-paced service, imbued with Advent sobriety, and much appreciated.

I too thought the men's plainsong and their ensemble in the rest of the programme was excellent; and I couldn't agree more that this CE was a very welcome solemn corrective to the wall-to-wall, frenetic and ersatz jollity being thrown at us. The children of the choir made a fine effort

I've always been a fan of the Wills 'fauxbourdon' as he originally called it in the 70s.
