It sounds appalling enough to have come from "Carmina Burana".

I've gone through this exercise with younger family members who have liked the soundtracks of various video games (though not this one). I think it is generic soundtrack music composed for the game or from a library, designed to convey a sort of belligerent middle ages / middle earth atmosphere in the manner of some of the louder bits of Carl Orff (Carmina Burana)... It's not from a mainstream 'classical' choral work.
"...the isle is full of noises,
Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
      Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

          Quoted from Caliban's post:
"in the manner of some of the louder bits of Carl Orff (Carmina Burana)."

          Snap!

            O Fortuna

(I like Carmina Burana btw. I'm a sucker for all that mock Gothic atmos.)

It sounds to me more like a film score (John Williams, Hans Zimmer, that ilk) stuck on a four-bar loop.

(Me too - in small doses - and once you've heard CB, you've heard all Orff. In taberna quando sumus always reminds me of where I ought to be. Dulcissime!)
