St T's Advent services are seriously worth listening to: Eucharist has more music and is longer than the Evensong. And the boys are in better voice a.m.

Sunday, November 27, 2011 @ 11:00 a.m.The church year begins anew with the Advent Procession, one of the most beautiful liturgies of the year. If you attend in person, you will be treated to the choir singing from many different parts of the church. If you worship with us via the webcast, please note that the choir will at times sound [...]

Last Sunday's Sung Eucharist has at its core Frank Martin's Mass for Double Choir. It is stunning. Do use the St T website to access it. And a slow but very impressive Palestrina Alma Redemptoris.

By chance they too have Naylor's Vox Dicentis as their Evensong anthem on the same day. Ahem.......

Tonight [Dec 23]'s live CE at 10.30 our time is Howells Coll Reg and Parsons Ave Maria. Sumptuous stuff, I'd say.

Holy Week services pretty well every day, live, or archived. Anglican liturgy at its very best, and sung by arguably the best men and boys choir operating these days.

Malcolm Archer is currently just about to end his residence as Guest Leader of the St Thomas Fifth Ave NYC Annual Choirmasters' Conference.

Tuesday 5th May's Evensong contained much Archer music including the wonderful 'Finally, brethren....' anthem exquisitely sung, followed by the rousing Archer Festival Toccata, and the canticles are his Wells Service.

Service can be heard live online at:

Should have said that if you miss any of the live webcasts from St T's, they are held on archive for a school term, so can be accessed v.easily,

As a Malcolm Archer fan I was delighted to spot this "heads up". Thanks DracoM. The service was most enjoyable and the singing as usual from this choir is of a very high standard (not to mention the organ playing).
