After a few days to absorb and enjoy K's very good joke, I'd like to say I enjoyed the service with special mention for the singing of the canticles and anthems. The recording favoured the top line and beautiful it was. We often sing the Nardone anthem and here performed simply and movingly. The only blot was the psalm, rattled through as though readiing a telephone directory at the same volume and intensity throughout. It's good to celebrate this initiative in the north and to relish the straight no nonsense northern accents of the readers.
