Wow, this service had everything an Easter CE should have with absolutely thrilling singing and playing that was triumphant and expressive by turns. The choir sang with vitality, confidence and excitement through the psalms, Canticles and Te Deum, but showing delicacy, with beautiful solo singing, in the Gibbons anthem. The engineering was first rate and caught the big moments with ease, allowing the listener to feel the large space around the music. Taste the end of the Te Deum to get that tingling moment!
Many thanks to all at Chester; a top drawer CE.
A highly recommended listen as silence on this thread perhaps means it’s been overlooked?

An excellent broadcast. Quite interesting the fact that in a months or so of BBC's CE we had Joanna Forbes L'Estrange's Preces & Responses for three times.

In the case of this particular service, it will be available for longer than the BBC's broadcast, having also been streamed via the Cathedral's own YouTube channel - apparently they keep everything up indefinitely: https://www.youtube.com/live/oy8MLjuUImw?feature=share

Yes, I heard this via the visual stream. Excellent. Whilst many have thoughts about a DoM conducting prominently in a central position between the stalls, there is no doubt that Philip Rushforth is an excellent choral director; not just with hands, but also subtle bodily and facial expression. No participant could be in any doubt of his intentions!
