Very much looking forward to hearing this. I have been lucky enough to hear SJCC live a couple of times this term, and they sound as good as ever under Stephen Darlington's direction. Still seems strange without Andrew Nethsingha around! For interest, tomorrow, the college mixed voice choir, St John's Voices, are recording an evensong for R3 - including the Mathias Jesus Service & Finzi Lo the Full Final Sacrifice. There's no broadcast date in the chapel music list but the psalms are down as 65-67, the 12th evening. Looking ahead in my calendar, that could indicate April or July, as in both months the 12th falls on a Wednesday.

Carefully conducted / sung. Good articulation.

Of all the fuss you make SH, I can’t believe it.

Yes know what you mean; a feeling of holding something in reserve.

It still feels strange to me that George Guest isn't there. But I am showing my age!

One of the gems of YouTube.

GG: Quite often they come back to us as choral scholars. They leave fresh-faced, with a few pimples; they come back with Chinese moustaches and beards.

Enquiring Treble: Top of page eight, first bar, someone's singing a B flat.
GG: Are they? Well they oughtn't to be doing that! That doesn't mean you're singing a B flat, does it?
                      ET: (smiling) No.
GG: No, you wouldn't, no; must be somebody else then. Who was it singing a B flat?
                      (Neighbouring treble murmurs something)
GG: Edward - really? Is that really so? Good Lord!... top of page eight, please.
                      .
