The college bans students from listening to "contemporary Christian, country, jazz, rock, rap, R&B, or pop" music on or off campus "whether or not the lyrics are
Christian".
I'm not sure what the King's Singers had planned for their appearance, but looking at their forthcoming Toronto program I'm surprised they were contracted to sing at PCC in the first place.

As so often in such cases* I think the university has scored an own goal here. They've just made themselves look ridiculous in public. Even some Christian theologians today think it quite possible that Jesus was bi-sexual, not that it matters anyway.

* such as the church in Britain who banned a yoga group from renting their church hall on the spurious grounds that yoga was a rival religion.

The choir I'm in had to drop an item from a concert (yes, a concert, not anything liturgical) in a local church in Advent as it contained an Alleluia! We were told that were a performance of Handel's Messiah to take place in Advent it too would not be allowed to have the Hallelujah Chorus sung. Presumably they don't allow their associated primary school to hold a Christmas Carol concert/service in Advent either: we didn't ask!
We've not been back to that church.
