I think they’ve sorted out the sound on the vicar now. Tewkesbury Abbey has just about the flashiest lighting system of any English church I’ve been in ….it’s programmable .

I particularly enjoyed the singing in the psalm, anthem and the Manz carol. The hymns were rather rushed to get them out of the way as quickly as possible. The balance must be very challenging to get right in this building and I felt things improved as the broadcast proceeded. I’m afraid the whole experience was spoilt for me by the excessive homilies preceding nearly every piece of music. Wonderful Franck to conclude; the Grove organ?

OMG. Isn't this new trend annoying? Hardly worth singing the hymn or Psalm if it's all been explained beforehand!
