Perfect Pitch (from Choir Stalls to Cricket Balls)

I heard this documentary on Test Match Special today whilst driving the autoroutes of Provence. Presented and produced by Elly Oldroyd and Ben Collingwood, it combines two of my favourite things! Several interviewees including Sir Alastair Cook and Andrew Nethsingha. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m001b3zr
Never did I expect to hear Howells Gloucester and Faire is the Heaven on Test Match Special!

Very enjoyable …..never knew about Sir Clive Lloyd the cathedral chorister ….. sad that Elly is not related to the Great Edgar Oldroyd

Indeed, though equally a fan of the French tradition such as Cavaillé-Coll. My destination yesterday was St Maximin la Sainte Baume, home to a famous 17thC instrument. But I was reminded, however much I might love France too, not easy to find either Cricket or Choral Evensong here (other than via the wonders of a VPN!)

Ditto, Aristide Cavaillé-Coll! I will listen to the programme tomorrow on the nightmare rail journey to London… It will calm me down!
