    KCC/Cleobury The Complete Argo Recordings

I've just had the above boxed set and a note in the booklet says: The digital copy of this booklet, as well as sung texts and translations,
    may be accessed at booklets.deccaclassics.com

I've done the download file but can find no trace of the 'sung texts and translations'. Are they there somewhere? If they are i can't find them. Am I missing something?

Even if you didn't buy it from Presto you could perhaps make an innocent enquiry about documentation in a phone call to them.

Having just looked at the contents, I can't help wondering how complete it is.
Might be a Presto listing error, but the Howells CD (almost identical contents to the earlier Willcocks one) doesn't seem to be included.

It's not the first time I've found this problem with these Decca downloads but never pursued it any further. I have the booklet with the discs, which doesn't supply texts, so don't need it digitally but the texts of some pieces in the set are vital.

It's a long shot, given the vagaries of customer service in general (I speak from experience, having worked in a call center back in the day), but maybe you can send a note to spell out the issue via this page:

Obviously the thing to do is to spell out the issue with the missing sung texts in detail, and explaining how their lack is an issue, again to state the incredibly obvious. But it's perhaps subliminal memory of my past life that I felt much more inclined to help customers who were friendly about their problem (however gnarly the problem) when they brought it up, rather than yelling at me on the phone from the get-go. Hope this works out.

          Cheers, bsp, that's terrific!

I used to work, before retirement, as a credit controller involved in debt collection and associated matters including customer queries. Now, I always found that the easiest way to get people to pay wasn't, as many people think, to go straight for the jugular and send in the dogs but to be polite, quietly spoken and to subtly build a relationship with the customer. It didn't always work but it did mostly. Likewise, if I got a customer ranting and raving on the phone I used to hold the phone at arm's length, let them get it all out of their system, then quietly proceeded to resolve their problem or arrange for someone else to do so if I couldn't.. Many was the time that a furious customer ready to commit murder, ended up eating out of my hand and thanking me for my help. It all came with experience.

Though I'm not in the running to buy the set, I'm still wondering if the Presto listing is wrong.
            Is the Howells disc included?

This is its latest incarnation (British Music Collection), now a Presto CD:
British Music Collection - Herbert Howells. Decca: 4701942. Buy Presto CD online. Gregory Moore (cantor), Simon Williams (tenor), Peter Barley (organ) Choir of King's College Cambridge, Stephen Cleobury

But I have the original Argo incarnation, also rather oddly apparently available as a Presto CD (and a download):
Howells: Choral Music. Argo: 4302052. Buy Presto CD or download online. Peter Barley (organ), Stephen Cleobury (organ), Gregory Moore (cantor) The Choir of King's College, Cambridge

I prefer the earlier Willcocks, tbh, but it's still impressive.
I wonder how/why Presto missed it out of their listing.

Hope you get some response if you chase up the documentation.

I've looked at previous downloads I've done from Decca Classics. You normally get two files, one for the booklet and another for sung text and translations. It's the second one that fails to appear. Will advise response on here once I get one.

We've got the Willcocks box set. Many memories within! It's just the things he recorded for Decca, i.e. the complete Argo recordings.

                    I'm not selling it!

I bought that set when it first came out and am very fond of it.
