    Simon Carrington in C&O

I've just got the latest edition of Choir and Organ. Simon Carrington (one of the original Kings Singers) is interviewed by David Hill.
In response to DH's question, 'And Composing?' SC replies:

"I hope that sooner or later, the current fashion for writing in a series of block chords with added notes will gradually fade away and we can get back to a bit more counterpoint!"

Amen to that. And (my contribution) a bit more rhythmic interest too.

Choral dry ice - no thanks! I am doing my own best to recultivate what seems to have fallen out of favour; a colleague at the BBC calling it "delightfully old-fashioned".
