Can anyone provide current information about the school from which Ripon choristers are drawn? I seem to remember that there was some talk of its closing. Is there an arrangement with another school?

Ripon Cathedral School is a friendly, exciting and stimulating place to learn.

Weirdly, t'other day, I tried to email them but their email address was rejected - odd?

RIPON Cathedral Choir School has closed at short notice, after proposals for a merger with a neig...

Ripon Cathedral Choir School closed down a decade ago (see above), while Ripon Cathedral School is a different institution, with no mention of the cathedral choir on their website.

It appears there is still a CE Primary School called Ripon Cathedral School.

Ripon Cathedral School is a friendly, exciting and stimulating place to learn.

Seems a pity it doesn't educate choristers, and frankly rather a lost opportunity.

Strong and forthright, yes. Maybe lacking a little subtlety? The Psalm had plenty of variety in the organ accompaniment. Is the choir still functioning well 6 or 7 years after this recording? More live CEs please, BBC.

A new DoM starts this month (Ronny Krippner, from Croydon Minster/Whitgift School) so hopefully we'll hear from them again before too long.
