Looking forward to it...but it would be good to get more live CEs. I know this has been mulled over in the past, but the proportion of live broadcasts seems to be falling fast.

This doesn’t matter as long as we get investment in new CEs, as was shown after attempts to furnish a new service after the Croydon CE folded.

Beautifully sung service with meticulous preparation from the trio of conductors. Harry Christophers and colleagues deserve our thanks for sponsoring this training choir.

The best thing for me was the anthem by Bernard Hughes. It had some rhythm!!! So much recent sacred choral music just consists of 'lovely chords'. Good to hear the work of a composer who finds rhythm imporrtant:

Whilst I agree with jonfan's sentiments above, I must say that for a choir of (presumably) young people, there was a very full-bodied sound...more like proto-BBCS than proto-16. I don't say that in any way as a criticism, because many different performance practices are welcome. So boring if all choirs sounded the same!
