Just listing to Terce now . Was any one up for Prime?
And I don’t mean an early morning Amazon delivery ..
Heard part of it - a lovely way to ease myself into the day and come to terms with the clock change - so much better than dumbtime...
Sundays are when R3 is on for most of the time so I shall be enjoying the periodic "interruptions".

Like oddoneout, I heard part of Prime - while trying to work out what time it really was ("On Your Farm" helped).
"Music For The Hours" was a brilliant idea, and whoever thought of it deserves multiple pats on the back.
Peter Phillips' article and programme of music are interesting.

Lauds was good!
Agreed, one of the best R3 ‘specials’

Sounds and sweet airs, that give delight and hurt not.
Sometimes a thousand twangling instruments
Will hum about mine ears, and sometime voices..."

Lauds was a 0100, but I guess you were being ironic, Nick. I was chatting to the organist of Buckfast last week, and apparently they are down in number to 7. Several novices have tried the regime but have given up. The foundation is fortunately OK financially (Tonic Wine and all that) hence the new eye-wateringly expensive organ. But I guess that's not really what it's all about.

No it was Matins at 1am - Lauds was at 4am
All Offices are going to be downloaded on Sounds here.
They’re all absolute gems

I've seen the stuff being made and I'm not really sure there's anything 'tonic' about it. They buy in Madeira wine by the tankerload and stick a load of vanilla and caffeine in it.
