This service will (in what might be a R3 CE first?) be streamed live on the cathedral's YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0DC0FveiF4

Yes. And a very good setting of the evening canticles it is too.
And how good to have a chorus from The Creation too. Needs some lusty treble singing!

The Girls are singing very well! Likewise our Layclerks! First live broadcast for Canon Andy Trendier, our Precentor, and Claudia Grinnell, our Sub-Organist.
Enjoy the Winchester Cathedral offering, and our livestream, if you’re watching. The Virgers do a fantastic job with all our cameras, day after day.

Lusty singing indeed. The anthem beautifully sung with a dramatic outburst on light that was worth the build up. Lovely singing and playing throughout the service. Great to have the webcast and see what was happening though out of sync with the radio feed. Most likely a first to have visual for CE?

Best Jackson in G I've ever heard I think. Balance, speeds....everything so right.

The Haydn (Heavens are Telling) suffered a tiny bit of wobbly ensemble (organ v. choir) but my gosh the solo trio was to die for.

                      Thank you so much, Everyone!
Didn’t they All do well? Only a little bit biased!
I guess it was a first.

If any of are interested, do please listen on the YouTube channel to the recorded service yesterday, by the Layclerks. It was superb. The Psalm chant was by our own Tenor, Andrew Hayman.

On Saturday, we have a live-streamed Memorial CE for the late Tim Pride, one of our Layclerks, who died suddenly last year, not long after retiring from the Cathedral Choir. Some of you may have known him, and enjoyed his fine Alto voice, over the years.

Please do join us again. ALL our sung services are now live-streamed, and the intention is that it will continue to always be so. We would love to welcome you.

                      Lizzie

A superb, stunning broadast. Winchester it's among the choral foundations from which I follow live Evensong with greater pleasure.
