      It was an interesting repertoire, I thought. So glad to hear the Peter Aston introit. He's a somewhat neglected composer. For instance his lovely Dormi Jesu used to be heard more often in carol services. As for the somewhat symphonic canticles by Ivor Atkins, which for some reason I had not encountered before, they were interesting not least because I.A. had been a great friend of Elgar and had collaborated with him over 3 Choirs' Festival matters. I liked the responses too, again unknown to me. Although it was a recorded CE, it is good to know choirs are getting back on their feet again.
