Draco: you do know that you set two threads going about this, don't you?
        The other one is here:

You might wish to combine them in some way!

There are no replies on the other thread as I type. Is it not possible simply to delete it?

            Done.

And it's good also to have some variety in the voicing, since - looking at the music list - this one seems to be for men's voices only: a rarity in the CE broadcasting.

Well, that was a keeper - as fine a live service as I have ever heard and a privilege to hear too.

I have minor reservations about the plainsong chant style, but it was rendered very eloquently and with complete unity of intent. Superb music for the season. The White was a tour de force and a lesson in controlled fervour - everything flowering beautifully within the borders. What a tasty alto sound too with just a dash of vinegar in it - just the way I like it!

If the pueri are half as good as this, Chester is in fine fettle.

                  Bravi tutti!

                  SBz.

Absolutely agree!! What an ATB team. I was half dreading a 'hooty' top line, but absolutely not. Altos beautifully blended, singing on their own, and with the equally excellent T & B. Full marks Chester for a superb Lenten CF.

Just 'bumping up' the Choir aspect of today's CE (i.e. don't be distracted by The Organ thread!) It really is excellent. No repeat on Sunday of course.

Wonderful engineering also with a sense of space around the sound. Great to have a live CE again and to crown the event one of memorable quality.
