I've just heard that the excellent Tim Parsons, assistant at Exeter, is moving on to pastures new...organist of St Edmundsbury Cathedral. James Anderson-Besant, erstwhile organ scholar at St John's, Cambridge has been appointed his successor. I wish them both congratulations on their appointments. It must be a strange time to be moving jobs of this sort when no-one can be quite sure when or how things will gradually become 'normal' again. Probably quite a challenge!
