Looks as though we’re back to archive broadcasts after the excellent foresight of recorded services prepared earlier. Shouldn’t this be labelled A to differentiate from previously unheard recordings?

Yes, yes, yes, YES......sorry for being so, so unpardonably inaccurate.

I didn’t mean to be overly picky, just helpful. The differentiation was your excellent idea I believe DracoM.

Very much looking forward to this - my choir. I am proud to say that my editions featured in this service; notably, Palestrina's Sanctorum meritis and the beautiful Alma Redemptoris Mater by Jean L'Héritier. This was also our brilliant oganist, Ben Bloor's first broadcast with us!

            SBz.

I’m looking forward to this -particularly the Palestrina as he must be the greatest composer to be consistently underplayed on Radio 3 - a mere 17 minutes in the last 30 days according to the inestimable SuffolkCoastal’s excellent logging system.

Thank you! It's going to be an emotional listen, I think, given the present situation. BTW, this may have been the first ever broadcast of the L'Héritier.

It’s amazing how lockdown gives you time to dig up interesting points! . But the sad lack of Renaissance polyphony on Radio 3 has had the consequence of me seeking it out on Amazon Prime , being dissatisfied with the sound quality (so crucial on choral music) , subscribing to Qubuz (see another thread for that saga) and finally enjoying its riches there. You might say God moves in mysterious ways.....

Indeed! My musicological research and production of editions has doubled! Every cloud...

Is it heresy to admit that I find Victoria and Morales more enjoyable to sing than Palestrina, with a few notable exceptions?

Those two barely appear on Suffolk Coastal’s list at all - No Vittoria in the last 30 days for example . I’m thinking of running a campaign on it!
