No record on the BBC page as to when this was first broadcast.
It says at https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000pl88 that it was first broadcast 3 November 2010.

Sorry the Durham service was cancelled but this is a terrific substitute with muscular, engaged singing from the off. What a pleasant surprise to hear instruments tuning up during the introduction to the Blow and what wonderful solos! Dramatic readings of the lessons and a sonorous, serious delivery of the liturgy.
My attention never flagged from the beginning of the service to the end; a fitting joyful Saints-tide celebration. Clear engineering in what is quite a dry acoustic so clarity enhanced. An hour of pure bliss!

Well, I looked back to my own take on this service, and found this:

<<I was just a bit fazed at first by the way the sound see-sawed around just a tad over-enthusiastically in the psalm to catch the different sides. And as I listened further, what became obvious was that on NCO's own webcasts, there is rather more stability of focus of the sound / mics, greater richness of tone and actually more clarity in expressing the voices - admittedly listening online only and not via BBC - than we had today. >>

I listened closely to this tx and I thought some work had been done to it since - anyone else feel something like this?

Caught the Blow in the car and thought it totally delightful.

Apparently there's an organ version of this anthem but I've never managed to hear it.

Agreed! The Blow/Groft/Greene repertpoire doesn't seem to appear very often on cathedral music lists these days, and I'm glad EH included "I beheld and lo". I loved the sound of the choir in his day, and those soloists were a cut above [no offence intended!] most choral scholars or lay clerks!

Am I right in thinking that the assistant organist on this recording is now the bloke that's got the job? Correct me if I'm wrong.

No, that's Robert Quinney. Steven Grahl is DoM at Christ Church. As it happens, SG took over from RQ as DoM at Peterborough Cathedral in 2014 (moving there from his New College position as RQ moved in the opposite direction), before then moving on to Christ Church in 2018 I think.
