Unbelievably - at least at the moment - the Sunday iplayer version STILL has all the drop outs on it, even though the actual version broadcast on air this afternoon was indeed the on-site recorded version (without glitches).

I don't really know how the BBC can contrive to achieve such a result, maybe someone will eventually do something about it. Thankfully I recorded the off-air version.

Great CE, good to be back in a cathedral.

Deeply disappointing. Too much money to be spent on out-of-hours re-editing? So just tough luck, lads. After all, only about 100 people will be listening....etc etcetc...and other such tripe .................

I've just checked again, and navigating via the SUNDAY version of the schedule to BBC Sounds, the BBC still hasn't troubled itself to use the version that they actually broadcast on Sunday (without the glitches).

All this speaks of a Choral Evensong department which has apparently given up on technical standards.

Heartbreaking, when back in the day this sort of thing was taken seriously, and easily corrected errors (such as this) were sorted out, as a matter of pride.

Surely it's worth a complaint (not "feedback" or technical issue). I'll post a link later to the page to use.

..................and given how RARE such live choral events are, and that .....erm.....CANTERBURY is fairly significant in the Anglican firmament...?
