What the pandemic does - totally disorientates me / time of day / day of week / identity/neighbourhood.................

        .....sincere apologies.

Good thing you've got the forum to provide some re-orientation?

As good and lucid a CE as we have had in many a month - IMO. Loved the introit.
If the 'residency' were to be all of this standard and inwardness, then sing on in M-i-t-F, I say.
Minister just a tad shouty - not really in synch with the very quiet music around her, but maybe there was a big congregation?
Or she was trying to out-do Trafalgar Sq?

Beautiful restrained, balanced and controlled singing. The old and modern interweaved in a timeless fashion that made the music just hang there, especially noticeable in the psalms. I particularly enjoyed the Owain Park Night Prayer and the setting of Newman's blessing. A lovely dramatic touch to walk away in the Tallis Canon. The whole service emphasized the falling of darkness in a quite tangible way, which came over in the spacious acoustic, even with the sirens receding in a satisfactory way!
Can we have the Six again soon please?
Everyone deserves a pint after that terrific programme. Was that Gareth Malone reading Lesson 1 or a sound-a-like!!?

Agree with all of that, jonfan. A beautifully enjoyable listen - and superbly engineered too.

I've especially appreciated having the full psalms for the day on these broadcasts.
