I thought some here might be interested in this project -https://www.cathedralchoir.org.uk/mld/ - which involves transcribing Lichfield Cathedral's handwritten music lists from 1848 onwards. I've found it fascinating how much that was bread and butter in the mid 19th century isn't really sung any more...Jackson in C, Corfe in B...and discovering composers I've never heard of e.g. Walter Porter who was Master of the Choristers at Westminster Abbey and may have studied with Monteverdi.
