      In spite of my earlier reluctance to "Listen Again" rather than waiting for Sunday's repeat, I did listen this morning, using a good pair of headphones. The experience was very different, when compared with listening in the flesh.
      Reverberation was limited, as I expected, by close microphone placing.
      The balance between choir and organ was altered - in the Priory, the mighty organ could overwhelm the 30+ choir in places.
      Much of the impact of the Mag and Nunc was lost on radio . This was a big disappointment.

          And, EA, given how much those pieces relied on air and space to make their point in, rather a shame for radio listeners? Trouble is that the RSCM team could not possibly have foreseen what transmission would do to their choice of music.
