The Dallas Canticles from Dallas, though (unless it's changed its name) not the church of the first performance (St Luke's Episcopal Church, 19 October 1975, according to the score).

Yep. Just now. Horatio Parker a bit Stainer-like I thought

            Your only observation?

Nothing about Sowerby's anthem, Fisk of Gloucester, responses...

Enjoyed both of those...but I did hear this CE first time around and I'm hesitant to repeat myself (possibly saying the opposite)

I heard it first time round. Didn't bother this time. But I'm fascinated to know what you (Op. XXXIX) thought, particularly on the works you mention.....?

I liked the psalm chants. Very well accompanied except for one tiny niggle (just a personal thing) which is holding on one note between verses or half-verses. OK for occasional effect maybe, but done rather a lot here. As for Mr Friedell's introit, lovely sound and all that. But the poor man just couldn't resist shoving in suspensions everywhere...4-3. 7-6, 9-8...he just couldn't help himself.
