I certainly don't want to make a habit of plugging albums here but Martin Baker's final recording with the choir is released today, recorded last spring:

The Telegraph has an in-depth story about a family from Wales whose three sons have had to abandon the school and the choir.
Needless to relate the Catholic hierarchy comes out of it badly, particularly an arrogant refusal by Nichols to see the family. He does sound totally out of touch and rather aloof (and I'm choosing my words very carefully there).
(I should add that one needs a sub to read the whole thing).
Laters: The Telegraph have clearly got it in for Westminster Cathedral, there's a second article:

I spoke to a lovely 85-year-old lady earlier today who tries to keep some sort of music going in 3 different RC churches. She regards music as a vital part of the Opus Dei. She studied at the RCM, and has bemoaned the state of music in the Roman Church since Vatican II. She knew all about the WC debacle and is sad that one of the few flagships of musical excellence is lowering its ensign to half mast.

But that's not my point; at least The Telegraph is publicising the idiotic situation at Westminster Cathedral and the intransigence of such people as Nichols.
Coverage has been pretty wide I think:
Couldn't find anything for you in the Daily Mail, mw963
